Silicone oil will encounter various problems in use.Let me sort out the following common questions for you.

1. Alkaline problem

When cotton fabric is pretreated, it is usually treated with high concentration of alkali to remove fabric impurities. Alkali entering the fiber is not easy to clean, and alkali should also be added when dyeing (reactive vat dyes). Therefore, the cloth surface may be alkaline during finishing.

Ordinary silicone oil is not alkali resistant. It will demulsify under alkaline conditions. Therefore, the cloth surface must be cleaned with alkali agent to keep the pH in the neutral range.


2. Cohesion problem

On fabrics containing staple fibers (cotton, t / R cloth and velvet), some staple fibers will inevitably fall down during processing,. The short fibers falling from the cloth stick with ordinary silicone oil. It is bonded with the demulsified silicone oil to form sticking rollers or silicon spots. When the water quality is poor, it will agglomerate with ordinary silicone oil to produce roll sticking. In addition, fluff fabrics will have a similar situation.

3. Cylinder sticking problem

Ordinary silicone oil will stick to the cylinder wall. Over time, some black oil spots will form on the cylinder wall. Silicone oil spots are formed on the cloth surface.

4. Feel problem

Due to the higher and higher requirements for fabric feel in the market. Various fabrics have different customer requirements due to different seasons. Need to show a variety of different style requirements. It is required to be smooth and draping, smooth and flexible, fluffy, soft and simple elastic. A silicone oil can only reflect one style.


5. Yellowing problem

The pH is too high and the temperature is too high when drying. The accompanying substances of cotton fabric turn yellow.

6. Amino silicone oil is incompatible with color fixing agent, soft oil and other additives, resulting in silicon spots.

Amino silicone oil emulsion is a cationic surfactant. Many chemicals used in the dyeing process are anionic surfactants, such as dyes, leveling agents, diffusing agents and color fixing agents.


When cationic amino silicone oil reacts with anionic substances in the dye bath. The silicone spots can be broken down by cationic emulsion of amino silicone oil.

Non ionic silicone oil JV-111 is a giant silicone emulsion synthesized by special process. It is mainly used for moisture absorption, perspiration, whitening and soft finishing of pure cotton or polyester cotton. Acid, alkali and salt resistance, good stability. It can be used in the same bath with resin and whitening agent.
